2 (18 1/2 ounce) boxes devil's food cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
Filling
3 cups confectioners' sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Cookies: Cream together eggs and shortening; slowly add cake mixes. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. To flatten cookies, tap cookie sheet on hard surface immediately after removing from the oven. Let cookies cool, then spread filling between two cookies.
Filling: Mix together ingredients and sandwich between two cookies.

Beautiful Graphics with Unique Camera System
Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip features a unique camera system, where you can choose different cameramen and camerawomen to follow you around. Some are better for tricks and others for speed, so be sure to pick the right one, as they'll give you abilities during your ride.
As the cameraperson follows you on your ride, you'll notice different effects, such as image blurs around the edges of the screen to give a sense of speed. The camera will collect snow when you fall, and sometimes the camera will white out after completing a big jump, as the cameraperson has to follow you and do the same moves as well. This unique system adds another element of strategy and fun to the game.
Tour the World with Shaun White
Road Trip begins with you as a newcomer to the snowboarding scene. Shaun White serves as your mentor, and together you travel the world, tackling mountains and making friends as you work your way up to becoming the world's best snowboarder.
As you win competitions and meet new people, they'll show you new tricks and special abilities that will help you against the competition. You'll have to learn different snowboarding skills as you compete in races down a mountain, half-pipe events, slaloms, rail jams, and more. You can also take a breather and just free ride in the back country at your own pace.
Play With or Against Your Friends
Road Trip doesn't have online multiplayer options, but you can play both competitively and cooperatively with a friend on a split screen. In competitive mode, you and a friend can race to the bottom or try to out-trick each other for the highest score. In cooperative mode, both of you ride down the same slope, and the scores are added together. The entire game can be played cooperatively, so you and a friend can tour the world together and unlock new extras.

Gamers have their choice of four mountains -- Alaska, Park City, Europe (Alps), and Japan -- each offering a different kind of terrain and feel, as well as landscapes and views. Alaska, for example, has a lot of peak boarding with features such as avalanches and ice chasms. Park City, the famed resort in Utah, features buildings and layouts from the actual resort.
The mountains are huge, with incredible graphics that allow you to see dynamic elements up to 20 miles away. As you ski, objects and locations far away in the distance, such as the base of the mountain, become larger and larger, and the background has the feel of a real, live environment rather than a static image.
Within each mountain, there are peak, back country, and park (resort) areas that provide a variety of gameplay. Just as you would expect, there are plenty of trails on each mountain, with each slope rated from green circle (easy) to double black diamond (extremely difficult).
Race, Do Tricks, Carve New Paths
Shaun White Snowboarding lets you do anything you want at a mountain: you can speed down the fastest slopes, get massive air and do tricks on the half-pipe, and even throw snowballs at other boarders.
By using a combination of the right analog stick and left trigger, you can perform a ton of different tricks on the ground, in the air, and on rails. The game was designed with realistic physics, so each trick looks and performs just as you'd expect it to see it in real life.
While you go down a mountain, you'll see various challenges scattered along the way, such as grinding on rails or specific tricks on the half-pipe.
When you get to the bottom, you can take off your board and hop on a chair or a helicopter to get back to the top and find a new trail.
In the single player mode, Shaun White serves as your mentor as you complete different challenges and competitions until you become good enough to put your skills up against Shaun White himself.
Share the Mountain with Other Online Players
Shaun White Snowboarding also features online multiplayer gameplay. Players can create their own challenges and participate with other online boarders, compete in half-pipe competitions, and even battle it out in straight racing down a trail. With mountains populated by real gamers, you'll feel like you're really out there on the slopes. A standout feature is the video camera that lets you film other boarders doing tricks and upload them for everyone to see.
As you win competitions and do challenges, you earn cash that can be used to purchase new apparel, boards, bindings, and more -- all designed to make your character unique and your gaming experience more fun.

Expansive, Realistic Environment
Far Cry 2 is set in a fictional region of Africa where you are caught between two rival factions at war. The Ubisoft team spent a lot of time filming and photographing in Africa to get all the details of the landscape and native wildlife. The result is a huge gameplay area that is 50 square kilometers, taking players into and out of the jungle and savannah. Wild animals such as zebras, buffalo, gazelle are encountered during the game, with both players and enemies allowed to interact with them.
Far Cry 2 features an incredible level of detail and realism, with a minimal in-game interface to detract from immersion. For example, players will need to navigate the world using an in-game map and navigation system, weapons will disintegrate over time, and fires will spread and propagate.
Each of the actions a player takes is reflected in the environment and changes the content of the game. To fulfill your mission, you need to play the enemies against each other, using both strategy and skill.
Huge Range of Weapons and Vehicles
Far Cry 2 offers gamers a wide range of weapons, from a machete for hand-to-hand combat, to a sniper rifle that can stealthily pluck off enemies from afar. As weapons disintegrate over time, they might jam or even explode in your hand.
There are also a large range of vehicles such as gliders, trucks, cars, and boats that will let you fly, drive, slide, and hover over the open landscapes.
Multiplayer Options for up to 16 Players
Far Cry 2 supports up to 16 players and has four gameplay modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Diamond, and Uprising. Players can choose from six different classes in multiplayer, each with its own set of pros and cons. Just as in the single-player mode, multiplayer games will feature dynamic elements, making each session unique.

Welcome to a new generation of Rayman
You'd be hard-pressed to find a game with as much character as Rayman Raving Rabbids. From the creative minigames to the quirks of the bunnies, this game packs an immense amount of entertainment on one disc. It's rare in games that failing during a competition can bring you as much joy as actually succeeding, but Rayman Raving Rabbids does an admirable job of rewarding your failure with a large dose of comic screams, flying plungers and crossed eyes.
Of course, the point is to succeed and not let the bunnies laugh at your failure. Rayman Raving Rabbids may have a lot of style but it has very little plot. Each level consists of four minigame challenges and one "boss battle," so to speak. If you complete at least three of the minigames, the main gate opens, allowing you to take on a greater challenge. Once you play a minigame in the Story Mode, you unlock that minigame and can play it at any time and against friends.
Exercise your Wii Remote
Hand it to Ubisoft's development crew as they really took advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers' capabilities. Some minigames are as simple as twirling the Wii Remote like a lasso and pushing a button to launch a cow as if you were in a hammer throw competition. Some minigames really test your coordinating, asking you to swing the Nunchuk like a jump rope and flicking the Wii Remote up to make Rayman jump.
Each level has one consistant challege, however: a rhythm game. As a song plays, the bunnies approach a spot on either stage left or right. When they hit that spot, you'll shake the Nunchuk (if the bunny is on the left) or the Wii Remote when the rabbid hits the mark.
When you take on the boss stages, you'll find yourself, more often than not, playing a rail shooter. The Wii Remote becomes your light gun, firing plungers at the horde of oncoming rodents. When your plunger supply runs out, shake the Nunchuk to reload. In recent years, the rail shooter (where you don't control the movement) has been forsaken for the first-person shooter and free movement. The Rayman boss experience will make rail shooter fans rejoice. If other shooters can perform as well as the plunger-fueled firing action of Rayman Raving Rabbids, the genre will come back with a vengeance.
Impressive replay value
There's extra incentive to play the many minigames of Rayman Raving Rabbids. When you complete a game in Challenge Mode, the game gives you a code that you can enter at the Rayman Web site which basically gives you access to special features on the site.
The minigames of Rayman Raving Rabbids skew toward a younger audience, and at first, an above-average gamer should find the games to be pretty easy. However, once the minigames are unlocked, a big challenge awaits you to get the highest scores and blast your friends in multiplayer challenges. That's when the real party begins! Rayman delivers exactly what the Wii promises: fun and lots of it. Here's hoping the bunnies come back for multiple invasions!

The '70s and '80s rule as two of the most popular bands from that era join forces on Chicago/Earth Wind & Fire - Live at the Greek Theatre, a two-disc, nearly three-hour concert recorded in Los Angeles in 2004. These groups scored dozens of hits in their heydays, and if neither has come up with much of anything that's new in the past two decades, the sold-out audience at the Greek Theatre could hardly care less. Both Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire, have soldiered on despite key personnel changes over the years (Chicago bassist-singer Peter Cetera and EWF founder Maurice White are long gone, and much missed); here they perform energetic and tasteful versions of everything from "Make Me Smile," "I'm a Man," and "Saturday in the Park" (Chicago) to "That's the Way of the World," "Fantasy," and "Serpentine Fire" (EWF), among many others, to rapturous response. Nothing too exciting about all of that--in fact, it's a bit like witnessing a couple of very skilled tribute bands at work--but there are a few surprises, as when Chicago keyboardist-singer Bill Champlin takes the lead on "After the Love Has Gone" (which he co-wrote) and EWF singer Philip Bailey returns the favor on Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now." The highlights are the first and last portions of the show, when the two bands (complete with horn sections) share the stage for "September," "25 or 6 to 4," "Shining Star," and more, displaying genuine joy at performing together and generating a huge, infectious sound delivered with high definition visuals and digital audio. --Sam Graham

Thirty songs, spread out over two discs and well over two and a half hours, with fine performances, great sound, and good visual direction: it's all here on Farewell 1 Tour, a documentary of the Eagles' 2004 concert in Melbourne, Australia. At one point, the veteran band seemed unlikely to even make it to the new millennium, but here they are, mostly intact, with a string of hits dating back more than three decades. The majority of them are performed here, from the earliest ("Take It Easy," "Desperado," "Peaceful Easy Feeling") through "Hotel California" and "Life in the Fast Lane" and right up to "Love Will Keep Us Alive" (from Hell Freezes Over, their most recent recording with new material on it); there are also hits from Glenn Frey, Don Henley, and Joe Walsh's solo careers, and a few new songs as well, including Walsh's "One Day at a Time" (an earnest ode to his new-found sobriety) and "Hole in the World," Frey and Henley's moving, almost gospel-tinged reaction to the events of 9/11/01. Guitarist Don Felder, who split acrimoniously with the band in 2001, isn't much missed, as replacement Steuart Smith plays the parts just as Felder did--i.e., pretty much exactly as they were recorded (indeed, pristine recreations of the studio versions of their songs has always been a hallmark of the Eagles' live shows). As for the somewhat cheeky title, well, there's always been a certain smugness to the Eagles' sense of humor, and it's no different this time, as Frey doesn't even pretend that there won't be a Farewell 2 Tour in the future. And why not? These are good songs, played beautifully by the quartet (plus supplemental musicians) to audiences that love them. If you were one of the handful of folks who missed Céline Dion's mega-run in Las Vegas, fear not: Céline Dion: A New Day is a riveting, sumptuous front-row seat to the whole extravagant experience. As concert DVDs go, this is a show of a lifetime, nearly six hours featuring not only no-expenses-spared production values and every song from Dion's famed show, but priceless extras as well. Dion's substantial voice is in fine form, and sparkles on signature tunes like "A New Day Has Come," "The Power of Love," and of course the theme from Titanic, "My Heart Will Go On" (and Dion-watchers will note that she's thankfully dialed back the breast-beating that used to accompany this song).
But as impressive as the performances are--and they include the talented gymnasts, dancers, and backup singers who work as a Cirque du Soleil-style ensemble--the set's most memorable moments are found in the personal footage and extras. Dion comes across as truly humble and approachable, with a wicked sense of humor and real compassion for her hard-working staff and her fans. There are sweet, intimate moments of Dion with her husband and son, as well as telling scenes that show her true resourcefulness (girlfriend does her own makeup!). The many docs include one on the building of her special theater and the building of the show from the ground up. Do these striking parallels mean that today’s liberals are genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order? Not at all. Yet it is hard to deny that modern progressivism and classical fascism shared the same intellectual roots. We often forget, for example, that Mussolini and Hitler had many admirers in the United States. W.E.B. Du Bois was inspired by Hitler's Germany, and Irving Berlin praised Mussolini in song. Many fascist tenets were espoused by American progressives like John Dewey and Woodrow Wilson, and FDR incorporated fascist policies in the New Deal.
Fascism was an international movement that appeared in different forms in different countries, depending on the vagaries of national culture and temperament. In Germany, fascism appeared as genocidal racist nationalism. In America, it took a “friendlier,” more liberal form. The modern heirs of this “friendly fascist” tradition include the New York Times, the Democratic Party, the Ivy League professoriate, and the liberals of Hollywood. The quintessential Liberal Fascist isn't an SS storm trooper; it is a female grade school teacher with an education degree from Brown or Swarthmore.
