Honey Hot Wings
10 to 20 chicken wings, with tips removed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup Masterpiece barbecue sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon mustard
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Wash chicken and roll in flour. Fry in a skillet just as you would if you were making fried chicken. Salt and pepper to taste. When chicken is fully cooked, place on paper towel and drain excess oil.
In a 1 1/2 to 2 quart baking dish combine the barbecue sauce, honey and mustard. Put drained chicken into pan. Stir around until all pieces are covered with sauce mix.
Bake uncovered at 325 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes until the crust sizzles and begins to dry slightly. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.

Mamma Mia! The Musical Based on the Songs of ABBA: A Decca Broadway Original Cast Recording (1999 London Cast)View This Product at AmazonPut together by Abba's own Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus,
Mamma Mia! manages to cram over 20 of the Swedish supergroup's songs into a threadbare plot. It goes a little like this: Young Sophie is getting married and she's trying to identify which of three men is her father. That's about it. Wisely, the musical doesn't mess around with the songs, save for the insertion of some dialogue or for having some of them performed by a man (it works amazingly well). Abba fans will jump on this import of the London production, but traditional fans of musical theater should consider it as well. After all, Andersson and Ulvaeus's songs have always felt as if they were more than isolated pop gems and actually belonged to a longer narrative.

Pablo HoneyView This Product at AmazonBefore Radiohead became the biggest critics' darling since Pavement or Dr. Dre, they were just another pre-Oasis British band with some loose indie ties, trying to gain some cred. Loopy enough to name this moody, often battering debut album for a Jerky Boys routine, they were also a lot more interesting when they hadn't yet learned the word "soundscape." "Creep," the miserably majestic single they now claim nearly ruined them, may not even be the best thing here; try "Anyone Can Play Guitar," an epitaph for River Phoenix before the fact.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (Walt Disney's Masterpiece)View This Product at AmazonDisney's 1977
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh may be the last word on (animated) Pooh because it so faithfully honors the first word on Pooh, penned in the 1920s by British storyteller A.A. Milne. Gently paced, subtly humorous, and blessedly understated, this adaptation reflects Walt Disney's original vision to develop the beloved British bear for a wider audience. The film is essentially a collection of the original Pooh shorts, "The Honey Tree," "The Blustery Day," and "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too." These storybooks are presented in seamless "chapters," narrated by the timeless Sebastian Cabot. The familiar musical score and original voices of Sterling Holloway as Pooh, and Paul Winchell as Tigger, cap this enchanting keepsake. (Ages 2 and up).

Honey I Shrunk the KidsView This Product at AmazonA deft balance between special effects, comedy, and family dynamics made this 1989 film a hit for Disney and spawned both a string of video sequels and a subsequent TV series. Moranis is endearing as the bumbling inventor/father of the Szalinski family. He inadvertently shrinks his own children then throws them out with the trash. They, along with the neighbor kids, must journey back across their own backyard, now an enormous, dangerous distance, to get back to the right height. Much is done with the perils of the lawn, from a wild deluge from the sprinklers to a nasty encounter with the lawnmower and numerous encounters with gigantic insects. A generally kid-friendly, inventive (no pun intended), and entertaining outing.

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Vol. 1: The Great Honey Pot RobberyView This Product at Amazon
CashbackView This Product at AmazonA slight but likable British comedy-fantasy with a touch of naughtiness,
Cashback is an expanded version of director Sean Ellis' Oscar-nominated short film of the same name about a bored supermarket clerk who discovers that he has the ability to stop time. Sean Biggerstaff (from the
Harry Potter franchise) is Ben, a lovelorn young man whose chronic insomnia (due to a bad breakup) forces him to bury himself in pointless and repetitive work at a local grocery store. Once there, boredom causes him to believe that he can stop time, and he enjoys long and languid fantasies about undressing and sketching the female shoppers. But reality intrudes in the form of recollections of his troubled past, as well as the lovely presence of fellow clerk Sharon (Emilia Fox), who offers the promise of love in the real world. A gentle and artfully directed independent film,
Cashback doesn't run very deep in terms of emotion, but the special effects are clever, the cast quirky and amusing, and its premise is an appealing mix of softcore reverie and boyish longing.

Honey West: The Complete Series (4pc) (Full B&W)View This Product at Amazon"A girl's place is in the home." Someone forgot to tell Honey West (Anne Francis), a "private eye-ful" unlike any character American television had ever seen. Created in the 1950s by Skip and Gloria Fickling for a series of steamy pulp fictions, Honey was introduced on TV in an episode of
Burke's Law, in which she matched wits with Gene Barry's playboy chief of homicide (that would have been a nice extra in this set). A woman of exotic charms, Honey was seriously sexy, glamorously outfitted, proficient in karate and judo, and kept a pet ocelot. Who wouldn't want to see her in her own weekly series? Honey ran her late father's Los Angeles detective agency with hot-headed Sam (John Ericson), a former junior partner, who provided her with such Bondian gadgets as tear gas earrings and an radio transmitter disguised as a martini olive. The first episode, "The Swingin' Mrs. Jones" establishes the show's cool vibe and cult appeal. Honey sets herself up at a resort as "blackmail bait." And over the course of the 30 episodes, it only gets hotter, as Honey pursues a gang of thieves that includes a Honey look-alike (and is fronted by Alan Reed, the voice of Fred Flintstone!), solves the mystery of a kidnapped rock and roll musician (Bobby Sherman), protects a woman receiving death threats, and foils an insurance fraud scam (in the award-winning episode, "The Grey Lady," written by future
Columbo collaborators William Link and Richard Levinson). Along the way, she inevitably runs afoul of the police ("When your father was head of the agency, I never had any trouble") or enrages Sam with her impulsive actions. The cleverly plotted half hour black-and-white episodes feature witty dialogue, jazzy scores (dig the accordion!), and great action (Honey is a knockout in more ways than one). By 1965, when
Honey West premiered, spies and detectives rivaled cowboys in popularity. Honey was the first female detective to front her own series, and certainly the first detective to be spied luxuriating in a bubble bath.
Honey West only ran one season. For this, we can reportedly blame the top-rated
Gomer Pyle and the arrival on the same network of
The Avengers, with Diana Rigg's Emma Peel. But
Honey West still delivers retro kicks. As one high society hostess remarks to Honey in one episode, "You're welcome at any party of mine."

Barbarella: Queen of the GalaxyView This Product at AmazonJane Fonda's memorable, zero-gravity striptease during the opening credits of this 1968 Roger Vadim movie is the closest the film comes to a liberated marriage of wit and sex. Based on a French comic strip, the story concerns the adventures of a 41st-century woman, who pretty much gets it on with whomever asks. The sci-fi sets were pretty interesting at the time, though they look rather anachronistic now. Appreciated today mostly as a camp classic, the movie is actually more trying than anything else.

Fruitless Fall: The Collapse of the Honey Bee and the Coming Agricultural CrisisView This Product at AmazonHow the disappearance of the world’s honeybee population puts the food we eat at risk.
Many people will remember that Rachel Carson predicted a silent spring, but she also warned of a fruitless fall, a time when “there was no pollination and there would be no fruit.” The fruitless fall nearly became a reality last year when beekeepers watched one third of the honeybee population—thirty billion bees—mysteriously die. The deaths have continued in 2008. Rowan Jacobsen uses the mystery of Colony Collapse Disorder to tell the bigger story of bees and their’ essential connection to our daily lives. With their disappearance, we won’t just be losing honey. Industrial agriculture depends on the honeybee to pollinate most fruits, nuts, and vegetables—one third of American crops. Yet this system is falling apart. The number of these professional pollinators has become so inadequate that they are now trucked across the country and flown around the world, pushing them ever closer to collapse. By exploring the causes of CCD and the even more chilling decline of wild pollinators, Fruitless Fall does more than just highlight this growing agricultural crisis. It emphasizes the miracle of flowering plants and their pollination partners, and urges readers not to take for granted the Edenic garden Homo sapiens has played in since birth. Our world could have been utterly different—and may be still.

Winnie the Pooh: Tigger's Honey HuntView This Product at AmazonOh, no! Winnie the Pooh needs more honey for his party, and it's up to kids and Tigger to save the day! Children ages 4 and up will delight in playing Tigger--running, jumping, and bouncing around the 100 Acre Wood in search of Pooh's "most favorite" snack. Along the journey, they'll face many challenges: slippery icy terrain, falling boulders, creepy caves, menacing bees, pesky bats, and more. Mastering three minigames will earn players the "Accordion Leap" and "Tigger-tastic Bounce," which they can use to explore new areas. This fun-filled adventure features nine action-packed levels, three minigames, bonus bounces, surprises, and hidden levels for a "Tiggerific" good time.
Tigger's Honey HuntView This Product at AmazonAnyone who has grown up without coming in contact with the Winnie the Pooh stories likely suffers as a result a severe whimsy deficit. Whether through the original A.A. Milne novels and stories, or the Walt Disney film adaptations, the misadventures of Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, and Piglet provide a completely entertaining diversion from ordinary storytelling.
The story in Tigger's Honey Hunt starts with Pooh, who is planning a grand party. But he can't begin to plan the bash without knowing that he has sufficient honey for his guests to enjoy. Bouncing along in his own inimitable way, Tigger pledges to help Pooh locate enough honey pots to get the party off the ground.
Crisp backgrounds, colorful worlds, and superb animation make this a fun romp through the Hundred Acre Woods. Gameplay mechanics are straightforward and aimed at the right demographic.
For anyone but kids, however, this game plays too short and doesn't have enough individual play modes (little kids love to play the same game over and over, so a short game doesn't matter much to the under-8 crowd). The title misses Paul Winchell's deft voice-over talent, but there's only so much data that you can fit on a Nintendo 64 cartridge.
Tigger's Honey Hunt really knows what it wants to be: a kids' game. As such, it succeeds in providing a darned good--if short--time. --Todd Mowatt
Pros:
- Clean, crisp backgrounds; colorful worlds; and superb animation
- Straightforward gameplay mechanics aimed at younger gamers
- Fun, safe gift for young family members
Cons: - Older, experienced gamers will find the game too easy
- Paul Winchell's voice-over talent noticeably absent from the game

Read it on screen. Click on a word or picture to see colorful animation. Hear music, play games, and sing along with the Hundred Acre Wood gang.
Disney's Tigger's Honey HuntView This Product at AmazonTigger is the one Disney character that seems tailor-made for a computer game. From his chief mode of transport (bouncing) to his jocular can-do attitude ("Collecting honey pots is what Tiggers do best!"), Disney game icons like Buzz Lightyear could learn a thing or two from this peppy pouncer.
In Tigger's Honey Hunt, the mission is to guide Tigger through nine levels within the Hundred Acre Wood on a quest for honey pots. Pooh needs the honey pots in order to throw a party, which is a nice central premise: Tigger's task is to be helpful, not blow up the enemy. A secondary goal is collecting snapshots of Winnie the Pooh characters that float through the woods in order to build the pages of a photo album. As difficulty levels increase, the keyboard-controlled Tigger must avoid everything from angry bees to falling rocks to the dreaded Heffalumps and Woozles. If Tigger gets frightened three times, the game is interrupted, and Tigger backtracks to a checkpoint to regain his courage. Easier courses must be mastered before moving on to harder ones.
Inspired touches include spider-web trampolines, a richly illustrated book-like format for moving within the program, and a dialog transcript that appears at the bottom of the screen anytime Tigger interacts with one of the many characters along his path. It's a great way to sneak some reading practice into the game, especially with some of the words Tigger concocts.
The program's weak spots are the initially inexplicable Classic Mini Games. Kids can leave the main game behind and play Rabbit Says, Pooh Sticks, and Paper, Scissors, Stone. These games are designed for multiple players, which is why they're unwieldy: A single player must use X, D, V, and C on the keyboard to navigate her or his Pooh Stick as it drifts in a stream. Player number two must use number pad 4, 8, 6, and 5. And so forth. It's confusing enough for one player, as these keying sequences aren't explained within the game. Lining up four players along the keyboard would be an exercise in futility.
If you can avoid the Heffalumps and tolerate those clunky classic mini games, Tigger's Honey Hunt is an excellent romp through the woods. (Ages 5 and older) --Anne Erickson
